It is also considered a sacred mountain, and is said to have been chosen by mountain monks in the Shugendo sect of Buddhism as a place to train and attain enlightenment.

We also added wisteria flowers from Fukuchi Town's famous “Geishin no Wisteria” as hair ornaments, and elements of a dragon said to have lived on Mt. Fukuchi with its horns and tail. Kanofuku is good friends with Fukuten-kun, the town character of Fukuchi Town, and they carry matching “gold Uchide-no-Kozuchi” hammers. Together with “Fukuten-kun,” the god of “good fortune” who wears lucky items all over his body, we will enliven Fukuchi-cho. We look forward to your support!
